West Philadelphia String Music and Mentorship Program

The West Philadelphia String Music & Mentorship Program (WPSMMP) is a community-based initiative that aims to introduce young boys and men of color to the world of string instruments, namely the violin, viola, and cello. The program ishosted every Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania (DuBois College House), where participants are immersed in the art of music, peacekeeping through restorative practices, and engaging in a rite of passage experience. The program's advisors offer guidance and wisdom to help our young visionaries navigate the journey from boyhood to adulthood.
